Compulsory Purchase Order

On 2 December 2016, FAB Link Limited made the FAB Link Limited (Budleigh Salterton to Broadclyst) Compulsory Purchase Order 2016 under section 10 of and paragraph 1 of Schedule 3 to the Electricity Act 1989.

Subject to confirmation from the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, the Order will authorise FAB Link Limited to purchase compulsorily land and new rights over land for the purpose of carrying out the activities authorised by its licence under the Electricity Act 1989 and more particularly for the purpose of constructing, operating and maintaining a high voltage electrical interconnector, including a converter station and associated works between Budleigh Salterton and Broadclyst in the County of Devon to allow the transfer of electrical power beneath the English Channel between the United Kingdom and France passing through the territories of Guernsey and Alderney.
